May is loaded with giant BLUE FISH in NJ. We caught between 55 and 60 in 3 days of fishing. These fish are averaging 7 to 12 pounds and are hungry. We have been following them and hope they stick around for a few more weeks. We all know they can vanish as fast as they showed up, but for know IT IS ON.....

Owned and operated by Master Captain Jim Weiser. Jim is a certified Master Captain with the U.S. Coast Guard. Captain Jim runs fishing excursions in the Delaware Bay for Flounder, Croakers, Stripers and Black Drum; as well as ocean trips for inshore Tuna, Blues, Trout, Flounder, Stripers, Dolphin and Sharks. "We fish groups of up to five with bait, or two with fly rods."

When you fish with us, we provide fishing tackle and bait, you bring your food and beverage. Captain Jim offers full day trips on the ocean and delaware bay and half day family trips in the inner coastal waterway.

Photography trips, bird watching trips, dolphin watch, lighthouse tours, family crabing trips and winter hunting trips are all available season regulated.

Fishing Packages: Inshore fishing package 8 hrs - Offshore trolling trips 8 hrs (30 miles or closer), half day 4 hr (inner coastal waterway) tips are very much appreciated. We run out of Avalon NJ, Stone Harbor, NJ, and Cape May NJ depending on the target fish for the trip.

Avalon NJ July fishing trip with Fins and Feathers Outfitters

We are catching some flounder on our off shore runs. Thanks to our charter Papa John, Big John and Little John last sunday july 29th. They managed to pull in 30 plus fish on a trip off shore to the reefs. Our trip this Saturday with Scott and Lou came up with 13 fish of which 4 were legal. Both groups battled some tough winds blowing 15 and gusting 24 to 30 by 4pm. The bite has been slow but we are still picking fish.

I will be running ocean trips out of Avalon New Jersey thru August for Dolphin and Tuna weather permitting. Please let me know in advance if you are interested in offshore trips. I like to run and check for fish prior to booking.

Fishing New Jersey's offshore reefs

We had a group out from Quebec fishing the offshore reefs in August. In 35 years of fishing New Jersey I have never caught anything that looked like this fish. We new it was a shark by the gills and the rows of teeth, just not sure what kind. We took some photos and weighed the shark in at 42 lbs. The shark turned out to be an Angle Shark, otherwise know as a Devil Fish... Not sure why Angle and Devil are used to describe the same shark but that seems to be the nickname for the Angle Shark.

Fishing on Delaware Bay. We run trips on the delaware bay from April thru December.

April, May: Stripers in the bay

May, June: Black drum in the bay, flounder in the bay

July,August: We spend some time offshore chasing tuna, blues, dolphin, inshore flounder and croakers

September is great for flounder migrating out of the bay and bunching up on the ocean reefs, croakers, sea bass, dolphin and bonita offshore.

November, December: stipers in the bay and the rips
