We had a group out from Quebec fishing the offshore reefs in August.  In 35 years of fishing New Jersey I have never caught anything that looked like this fish.   We new it was a shark by the gills and the rows of teeth, just not sure what kind.  We took some photos and weighed the shark in at 42 lbs.  The shark turned out to be an Angle Shark, otherwise know as a Devil Fish...  Not sure why Angle and Devil are used to describe the same shark but that seems to be the nickname for the Angle Shark.

Thank you to my Group from Quebec.  We look forward to seeing you all next summer, who knows what we will catch in the ocean.........
