"Captain Jim put us into some excellent brant hunting, and well as some quick shooting at those little speedy flying buffle heads.  We had a large group with six of us but everyone was able to get in a lot of shooting and even did a little missing.   We limited out on brant each day and one member of our group was able to collect an old squaw which he was very excited about.  Hammerin Hank was ready and up to the task to get every bird that hit the water.  We had a lot of laughs and we look forward to trying to get together for more shooting on some snow geese.  Thanks again."

Jim was a true professional the day that he guided my youngest son, Colin (16), and I during our first elk hunting trip. After three different guides in five days of bow hunting, both of us agreed our most enjoyable day was the one spent with Jim. The guys in my office went to the Great American Outdoor Show in 2014 and met Capt. Jim at his Fins & feathers booth . We decided to do a father-son fishing trip and Capt. Jim was first class all the way. He put us on fish, and gave us quite a few great tips on how to improve our angling skills. We had a great day brought back fish and many memories. We would highly recommend him to all.

Fins and Feathers Outfitters Thanks guys, caught a good variety just nothing legal. Shark, blue fish, jacks, sea bass, flounder, sea robins, skates. It was like fishing in a nursery even 21 miles off shore. Maybe next time.... Great group of guys, look forward to having you all back down.

We booked an elk hunt and had jim guide for us.  unfortunitly we had some horse issues and Jim walked us out of the mountain about 10 miles.  you took what many would have considered an epic failure and turned it into a lifelong memory.  You have the natural ability to coax the best out of your client while making them feel special.  in addition, you aptly communicate with the quarry incitating curiosity and/or fury to insure hunter sucess.  Although we didn't come home with an elk, we will always have special memories of the time spent in the outdoors with you.  You have a gift!

I have been duck hunting with guides for a long time and most of them over promise and under deliver.  Jim and Scotty with Fins and Feathers Outfitters is what a hunting guide should be.  He will do everything he can to get you into the ducks and make sure you have a great trip.  Having a guide that scouts and has current equipment in working order makes your time out about shooting birds.  If you have never hunted out of a layout boat were the ducks almost land on you, it is something amazing you need to try.  Can't wait to come back next year.
