Owned and operated by Master Captain Jim Weiser. Jim is a certified Master Captain with the U.S. Coast Guard. Captain Jim runs fishing excursions in the Delaware Bay for Flounder, Croakers, Stripers and Black Drum; as well as ocean trips for inshore Tuna, Blues, Trout, Flounder, Stripers, Dolphin and Sharks. "We fish groups of up to five with bait, or two with fly rods."

When you fish with us, we provide fishing tackle and bait, you bring your food and beverage. Captain Jim offers full day trips on the ocean and delaware bay and half day family trips in the inner coastal waterway.

Photography trips, bird watching trips, dolphin watch, lighthouse tours, family crabing trips and winter hunting trips are all available season regulated.

Once you've contacted us, Fins and Feathers Outfitters will provide a complete list of what you should bring for your personal adventure.

Fishing Packages: Inshore fishing package 8 hrs - Offshore trolling trips 8 hrs (30 miles or closer), half day 4 hr (inner coastal waterway) tips are very much appreciated. We run out of Avalon NJ, Stone Harbor, NJ, and Cape May NJ depending on the target fish for the trip.

Fishing New Jersey's offshore reefs

We had a group out from Quebec fishing the offshore reefs in August. In 35 years of fishing New Jersey I have never caught anything that looked like this fish. We new it was a shark by the gills and the rows of teeth, just not sure what kind. We took some photos and weighed the shark in at 42 lbs. The shark turned out to be an Angle Shark, otherwise know as a Devil Fish... Not sure why Angle and Devil are used to describe the same shark but that seems to be the nickname for the Angle Shark.

Lets go Fishing

Fins and Feathers Outfitters has their boats in the water in Avalon NJ year round. We are looking for those giant Blue Fish that run thru this time of the year just ahead of the spring Striper run. Our fishing season will be as follows: Blue Fish, Stipers, Black Drum, Flounder, Sharks, Dolphin, and back to Stripers in the fall. Give us a call for your day on the water.

May is loaded with giant BLUE FISH in NJ. We caught between 55 and 60 in 3 days of fishing. These fish are averaging 7 to 12 pounds and are hungry. We have been following them and hope they stick around for a few more weeks. We all know they can vanish as fast as they showed up, but for know IT IS ON.....

Its Drum Fishing Season

This time of year is Drum fishing season on the Delaware Bay. Fins and Feathers Outfitters anchors up for these bohemoth fish. We run about 4 rods on the bottom with surf clams and fish finder rigs.
